Chris Jackson is a prominent leader in business, policy, and social justice.

Chris currently serve as Policy Director for Honor Community Health, advocating for health equity in Pontiac. He previously served as Executive Director of the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus, championing policies for communities of color. A leader in the cannabis industry, he is Chairman of the National Cannabis Industry Association. He also owns the Pontiac Pharaohs, a minor league basketball team, and is an Oakland County 40 Under 40 honoree.

Pontiac is desperately in need of a new leader for District 1.

Chris is committed to serving the residents of District 1, as a voice for change and trustworthy leadership, with the following priorities:

  • Promote civility and transparency in local government with an emphasis on getting the needed work done for our residents.

  • Revitalize empty Lots, buildings and neglected areas into valuable and functional spaces

  • Construct new, high-quality and affordable homes that meet the diverse needs of residents in District 1.

  • Actively encourage economic growth and sustainability among small businesses in the Downtown area.

  • Collaborate and work together with all residents and community organizations to move Pontiac forward.
