Chris Jackson is the Policy Director at Honor Community Health, where he leads government relations and advocacy efforts to improve health equity and expand access to quality medical care for Pontiac residents. With a deep commitment to public service, he previously served as the Executive Director of the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus, working alongside legislators to ensure communities of color across Michigan receive the resources, representation, and policy support they deserve.
Beyond his work in government and public policy, Chris is a recognized leader in the cannabis industry, where he has played a pivotal role in Government Relations, Social Equity Programming, and Project Expansion & Management. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), a national organization dedicated to fostering a responsible, sustainable, and inclusive cannabis industry. His leadership in the sector has helped shape policies that promote equitable business opportunities and economic growth.
Chris is also deeply involved in economic development and community empowerment. He is the Team Market Owner of the Pontiac Pharaohs, a minor league professional basketball team that was formerly part of The Basketball League (TBL) and now competes in the Basketball Super League (BSL). Through this venture, he is committed to providing professional experience and opportunities to everyone affiliated with the team. Chris is also committed to contributing to the overall quality of life for the residents of Pontiac.
Beyond his professional work, Chris is a dedicated family man who values strong relationships and strives to create a better future for his loved ones and community. With deep roots in Pontiac and District 1, he is committed to making the city a safe, thriving, and productive place for all to live, work, and play.
